China Lumena New Materials Corp. ("Lumena" or the "Company"), based in China's Sichuan Province, is a leading new materials producer in China. Lumena principally engaging in the operation of mining, processing and manufacturing of natural thenardite products and the production, development and sales of polyphenlene sulfide (PPS). It is the second largest thenardite producer in the world in terms of production capacity as of 31 December 2008* and the largest PPS resin producer in terms of production capacity in the world as of 31 December 2009**.

For the thenardite business, Lumena operates four mines, namely Dahongshan Mining Area, Guangji Mining Area, Muma Mining Area and Yuegou Mining Area, and production facilities in Sichuan Province, with a thenardite production capacity of 2.2 million tones per annum as of 30 June 2010.

Lumena's thenardite business has won a number of industry awards and certifications for its stringent quality control measures and renowned brand name. Its powder thenardite products sold under the brand of "Chuanmei" have been recognised as a "Sichuan Famous Brand Product" since 1993 and its registered trademark "Chuanmei" was recognised as a "China Well-known Trademark" by the SAIC (the State Administration of Industry and Commerce) in March 2008. Lumena has placed greater emphasis on quality assurance through the implementation of strict quality control system and standards. It has obtained ISO9001:2000 Quality Management System Certificate for its powder and specialty thenardite, as well as the GMP Certificate for medical thenardite and the Pharmaceutical Production Permit.

For the PPS business, Lumena currently operates two production plants respectively in Deyang city and Shuangliu city of Sichuan Province, where it produces various grades of PPS resin, compounds, fibre and other related products. Lumena is the only industrialized and large-scale PPS resin producer in China. Its independent R&D capabilities have led to the development of more than 100 PPS related products, registered ownership of five patents, and 16 applications for invention patents. The Company's PPS R&D and production project has become a significant project of China's 863 Program and National Torch Program, and is recognized as a National High Technology Industry Demonstration Project and Major New Material Project.
