Lumena Resources Corp. ("Lumena" or the "Company"), which focuses it operations on the mining, processing and manufacturing of natural thenardite products, is the second largest thenardite producer in the world in terms of production capacity as of 31 December 2008*. We also operate the world's largest single line production facility for high quality thenardite products, including powder thenardite, specialty thenardite and medical thenardite.

Thenardite is an important raw material used to manufacture chemical and light industrial products. Our powder thenardite and specialty thenardite are primarily used as inert fillers in powder detergents and processing aids in the textile and glass industries while medical thenardite is primarily used in both Chinese and western medicines as a mild laxative and an anti-inflammatory agent. As specialty and medical thenardite offers profit margins that are higher than powder thenardite, we focus on the production and sale of medical and specialty thenardite. In addition, we are the only producer of medical thenardite in China.

We operate two captive underground glauberite mines in the Dahongshan Mining Area and the Guangji Mining Area in Sichuan Province and have acquired mining rights in the Muma Mining Area in Sichuan Province. There is a total of approximately 57.2 million tonnes of proved and probable thenardite reserves pursuant to the JORC Code, located in these three mining areas as of February 2009*. Our reserves are higher than the average grade in China, according to JT Boyd.

Lumena has won a number of industry awards and certifications for its stringent quality control measures and renowned brand name. Our powder thenardite products sold under the brand of "Chuanmei" have been recognised as a "Sichuan Famous Brand Product" since 1993 and our registered trademark "Chuanmei" was recognised as a "China Well-known Trademark" by the SAIC (the State Administration of Industry and Commerce) in March 2008. We have placed greater emphasis on quality assurance through the implementation of strict quality control system and standards. We have obtained ISO9001:2000 Quality Management System Certificate for our powder and specialty thenardite, as well as the GMP Certificate for medical thenardite and the Pharmaceutical Production Permit.

Our customers span across the globe from China, Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia to as far away as South America. Our thernadite products are sold directly to domestic end users as well as distributors while all overseas sales are made to our distributors.
